Since 1977, the Federation of Italian American Organizations of Brooklyn (FIAO) has grown from a coalition of cultural groups into a dynamic nonprofit serving one of New York City's most diverse communities.
We are dedicated to preserving the diverse cultures of our community, strengthening families, and empowering Brooklyn through free legal services, social and mental health support, after-school programs, cultural events, wellness initiatives, and more.
FIAO impacts over 10,000 families annually through our wide range of free programs and services, from our wellness services and our reach is expanding each year.
